Create an air of don’t-care & people will think you… don’t care
Creating an air of don’t-care tends to lead to an assumption in others that we actually… don’t care.
Which is ok if we don’t. But what if we do?
Sounds obvious that people will assume what we project represents what we think or feel.
Maybe it’s worth questioning: We each can only provide the answers ourselves:
How are you aware that what you think you project is what others perceive?
What if you think you look like you care about something but other people perceive you don’t care?
Is being seen to care* about something a weakness, something vulnerable?
Who taught us showing invulnerability is a good thing?
How does it help to appear invulnerable and not to care about something you do care about?
What benefits might materialize as a result of acknowledging you care?
*The dictionary doesn’t make that connection
